Jay B. Copas was born March 25, 1928, and died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017.

He leaves behind children Jerry Copas, Sheila Vohs, Linda Mixon, Joyce Copas and Sharon Waltz; seven grandchildren, Douglas Engstrom Jr., Tom Engstrom, Monique Rodriguez, Angela Butler, Levi Waltz, Jade Waltz and Maverick Waltz; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Jay donated his body to Mayo Clinic. His ashes will be interred next to his mother’s grave in Scottsville, Kentucky, at a later date.
