In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Albert Lea Vineyard Church will host a free showing of the documentary “I am Jane Doe” at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
According to a press release, “I am Jane Doe” chronicles the epic battle American mothers are waging on behalf of their middle-school daughters who were victims of sex trafficking.
The press release said the FBI identified the Twin Cities as one of the 13 U.S. cities with a particularly high incidence rate of prostituted children and 60 percent of victims in Minneosta live outside the Twin Cities metro area.
Those who would like to donate items for care packages for victims of sex trafficking can bring new and unopened lip balms, travel bags with toiletries, gum, mints or hard candy, easy design adult stress relieving coloring books, travel-sized facial tissues, towels and washcloths.
