Two occupants injured in the fire on Lakeview Boulevard Friday morning are still being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Saturday evening, David Richards was in critical condition and Joyce Richards was in satisfactory condition.

The two were injured and taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after escaping a house fire at 449 Lakeview Boulevard.

Albert Lea Fire Department Shift Capt. Mark Light said approximately 20 firefighters participated in putting out the fire Friday morning, which started at 1:42 a.m. Firefighters spent over six hours putting out the fire, which Light said left substantial damage to the home.
