A Brooklyn Park man charged with stunning a woman with a Taser in October 2016 pleaded guilty Friday in Freeborn County District Court.
Ryan Steven Theissen, 34, pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary.
Court documents state Theissen was charged after the victim was sleeping Oct. 27, 2016, at a residence when Theissen reportedly stunned her with a Taser.
The victim was reportedly known to Theissen.
After using the Taser on the victim the first time, Theissen reportedly sparked his Taser a few more times and demanded to know where someone else he knew was.
At the time charges were filed, Theissen claimed she attacked him after telling him he could come in, and he admitted that he shocked her with the Taser once in the chest, after she reportedly ran at him while swinging.
Sentencing is scheduled May 3.
Theissen did not enter pleas to second-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
