The Albert Lea Tigers girls’ golf team finished fourth Monday in the Big Nine Conference meet and final conference standings.

The Tigers’ Megan Pulley finished third overall in the conference after shooting 84 at Northern Hills Golf Course in Rochester. Pulley shot a 45 on the front nine and 39 on the back.

“Megan is looking to make it easily through the first round of sections and making a run at the state tournament,” Tigers coach Shawn Riebe said.

Megan Pulley shot a 101 for the Tigers and Mady Dahl shot 104. Makenna Friehl was the final Tigers’ scorer with a 107.

“This was a good season for us as we are still a young team,” Riebe said. “I am excited for the girls for finishing where they did and hope it motivates them to see they are in the hunt toward competing for the title again next year.”

The Tigers return all of their starters and the conference loses just 12 to graduation.

The Tigers play again June 2 in the Section 1AAA meet in Cannon Falls.
