Heavy snowfall on Albert Lea Wednesday led to school cancellations and slippery road conditions.

Cars could be seen in ditches on East Main Street and U.S. Highway 69 in Albert Lea in the early afternoon.
The heaviest snow fell across southern Minnesota and south of Interstate 90 in both Minnesota and northern Iowa.
Freeborn, Faribault and Martin counties remained under a winter storm warning through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
