Mayor announces community service awards

- Four community volunteers were recognized during Albert Lea Mayor Vern Rasmusson Jr.’s community service awards ceremony April 10 at City Hall. Jerry Munson won the Mayor’s Choice Award, Brad Kirchner was named Volunteer of the Year, Chris Utz was recognized with the Good Neighbor Award and Karen Callahan, not pictured, was named Senior Citizen of the year. Jennifer Vogt-Erickson accepted the award on Callahan’s behalf. - Provided
