Wells man injured in crash in Faribault County

A Wells man was injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash of a pickup and a semi on a wet patch of Interstate 90 in Faribault County.

David Darol Bixby, 65, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato with an injury deemed not life-threatening.

Bixby was driving a 2004 GMC pickup and Michael Paul Bidsler, 43, of Chatfield was driving a 1994 Freightliner semi west on Interstate 90 when the two vehicles collided after 4:30 p.m. four miles east of the Wells exit, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Bidsler was not injured in the crash.

Bixby was not wearing his seat belt, while Bidsler was, according to the State Patrol. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Wells ambulance crews assisted on scene.
