“Baseball, Hot Dogs and Apple Pies.” Save the date of June 3. At noon there will be an informational gathering at the American Legion, 142 N. Broadway, Albert Lea Post 56 of the history of the Albert Lea Packers baseball team. Anyone interested in this is welcome to come and share what they know about the history of the Albert Lea Packers. We will be having hot dogs and apple pies from noon to 1 p.m. The program will start at 1 p.m. and go until about 3 p.m. Tom Murray will be the guest speaker, who’s father played for the Bancroft Bandits in 1948 (70 years ago) when the Albert Lea Packers beat them 7-4. If you have anything to share or are interested in hearing about this history please come to the event. We welcome everyone!
