Two motorcyclists were injured Saturday morning in a crash with a pickup on Bridge Avenue near the on and off ramps to Interstate 90.

Adam Gimberline, 41, and Heidi Gimberline, 36, both of Wells, were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report stated they were injured after crashing into the passenger side door of a 2015 Ford F350 driven by Kurt Welker, 52, of Owatonna.

The State Patrol report indicated the pickup was stopped at a stop sign at the top of the interstate ramp and Bridge Avenue, when it continued westbound across Bridge Avenue into the path of a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was southbound on Bridge Avenue.

Both Adam and Heidi Gimberline were not wearing helmets.

Welker and his two passengers were all wearing their seatbelt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Albert Lea Police Department, Albert Lea Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted.
