Motorcyclist injured in crash with deer

A Geneva man was injured Friday night when a motorcycle he was driving collided with a deer on Minnesota Highway 14 in Steele County.

Troy Swan Anderson, 32, was taken to Owatonna Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.

Anderson was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Highway 14 when a deer entered the highway from the north ditch, and they collided at about 9 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report states Anderson was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Steele County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
