1 arrested for drunken driving
Police arrested Genaro Ortiz Sandoval, 30, for driving while intoxicated after receiving a report at 8:53 p.m. Saturday of a vehicle that had crashed into a pole near the intersection of Plainview Lane and Spark Avenue.
Cars broken into, burglaries reported
A home at 619 E. Seventh St. was reported broken into at 5:26 a.m. Monday. A purse and money were reported missing.
A shop was reported broken into at 8:27 a.m. at 1313 James Ave.
An attempted break-in of a storage locker was reported at 9:51 a.m. Monday at 310 W. Seventh St. Markings were reported on the lock.
The back door on a house at 317 E. Eighth St. was reported kicked in at 1:56 p.m. Monday, according to police. The incident had reportedly occurred in the past two or three days. Nothing was missing from the residence. Damage was estimated at $700.
A burglary in progress was reported at 9:13 p.m. Monday at 213 Fenton Ave. Nothing appeared to be missing, and there were no damages.
Items were reported stolen at 10:10 p.m. Monday at 1006 Dunham St.
Police received a report at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday of a person who reportedly broke out the front window to a home and door and attempted to steal a television at 935 Jefferson Ave. Police logs indicated someone was arrested for first-degree burglary; however, the name was redacted.
A pistol, ammunition and horse bridle were reported missing at 9:31 p.m. Friday from 21173 810th Ave. in Hayward.
A garage at 215 Lee Place was reported gone through at 11:16 a.m. Friday.
The back door was reported broken into at 2:23 p.m. Saturday at 1006 S. Broadway. Nothing appeared to be taken.
An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through at 9:49 a.m. Sunday at 104 S. Sixth Ave. Nothing was taken.
A car was reported broken into at 10:19 a.m. Sunday at 117 N. Second Ave. Two checkbooks were reported missing.
An unlocked van was reported gone through at 10:26 a.m. Sunday at 120 N. Third Ave.
A vehicle was reported gone through at 10:58 a.m. Sunday at 814 John Farry Place. A wallet was stolen but was later recovered in nearby bushes.
A vehicle was reported gone through at 12:57 p.m. Sunday at 314 Summer Ave. Nothing was taken.
A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle at 3:24 p.m. Sunday at 1411 W. Clark St.
A vehicle was reported rummaged through at 5:05 p.m. Sunday at 405 Maurice Ave.
A car was reported rummaged through at 8:03 p.m. Sunday at 808 Water St. A pair of sunglasses were taken.
Gas drive-off reported
Someone in a white vehicle reportedly drove off without paying for their gas valued at $41.29 at 9:57 p.m. Monday at 309 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove. The vehicle left southbound on Interstate 35.
2 arrested on warrants
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Charlie Domontie Morris, 22, on an arrest warrant at 11:36 p.m. Monday at 105 North Star Road in Alden.
Police arrested Levi Troy Dahl, 23, on a Department of Corrections warrant at 2:24 p.m. Sunday at 2102 E. Main St.
Bikes stolen
A gray Mongoose full-suspension bicycle valued at $120 was reported missing at 2:11 p.m. Monday from 216 E. Fourth St. The bike had reportedly been taken at about 10 a.m. from the gated backyard at the house.
A 26-inch black and green bike was reported stolen at 1:14 p.m. Sunday at 1425 Edina Ave.
A bike was reported stolen out of the bed of a truck at 1:43 p.m. Sunday at 327 W. Main St.
