Ever wondered what really happens at the point of death? Karin Gunderson, from Phoenix, Arizona, is the author of ”Encounters with Heaven — Stories of God’s Surprising Presence.” Gunderson and her son, Ryan, will be presenting “Encounter with Heaven,” an experiential evening combining Gunderson’s stories from her work as a hospice harpist, with beautiful harp, piano, Native American flute and two-part vocals.

The Gundersons will be giving a concert on Tuesday, June 26th at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 301 W. Clark Street, Albert Lea, MN.  Ryan Gunderson began playing by ear in first grade and was soon creating compositions for the adult choir at his family’s church.  He recently recorded his first relaxing piano album which will be available with Heavenly Harp CDs and musical nature DVDs.

Enjoy a combination of peaceful music of popular and Christian pieces like “What A Wonderful World” and “It is Well with My Soul.”  You’ll also be invited to participate in singing a few favorite hymns as well.
