Albert Lea shooting still under investigation

Albert Lea police are still investigating the June 29 shooting near the intersection of Clark Street and Ermina Avenue.

There are no pending charges in the case, according to the Freeborn County Attorney’s Office.

As the investigation progresses, charges could be filed, according to Albert Lea police Lt. Jeff Strom.

A female victim was injured after being shot at least once in the back.

The female, whose name, age and address has not been released, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

Two people were detained after the shooting, but charges have not been filed against them.
