Trott reportedly violated his probation by failing to remain law-abiding — he has been involved in 11 law enforcement matters since he was sentenced, including a domestic assault by strangulation charge, said Assistant Freeborn County Attorney Abigail Lambert.

Lambert said Trott violated his probation requirement to use no mind-altering chemicals by testing positive for methamphetamine May 25 and amphetamine July 13.

A contested revocation hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. Lambert is expected to request Trott’s stayed 17-month prison sentence for cutting his ankle bracelet be executed. Lambert said Trott would receive credit for the more than 300 days he has served on the file.

In requesting he be released on his own recognizance, Trott said the case was the first time he has been on probation as an adult and he is already being held in other cases.

“This is just stupid,” he said.
