Roger Brua, 1944-2018

Visitation for Roger D. Brua, 74, will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Kristan Funeral Home P.C.,  219 W.Maple Ave. in Mundelein, Illinois. A funeral luncheon will follow at 4 p.m.

He was born April 8, 1944, in Albert Lea and died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois.

Roger and his wife, Bev, owned and operated Century 21 Market Place in Mundelein for over 40 years. Before that, he was a mechanical engineer for White Farm.

He loved watching his grandkids play any type of sport. He enjoyed his beehives, fishing and discussing and arguing politics.

Roger is survived by his wife, Beverly (nee Sternhagen); his children R.J. (Julie) Brua, Deanna (fiance, Todd Gunderson) Bowen, Robert (Gail) Brua and Matthew (Shauna) Brua; his brother, Richard Brua; sister, Elaine “Tootsie” (Milan) Hart; his grandsons and honey girls Jordyn, Lee and Delaney Bowen and Kylie, Ty, Audrey, Baris and Harper Brua.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Sybil (nee Gilbertson) Brua; his brother, Larry; and his sister, Virginia Bahr.
