An Iowa man was injured Monday morning when the vehicle he was driving rolled over and landed in the median on Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea.
Devonte Uleyess Mitchell, 20, of Des Moines was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.
Mitchell was driving a 2001 Ford Escape north on I-35 when he swerved to avoid a deer. The car flipped four times and landed in the median before 3 a.m. near the Clarks Grove exit, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Mitchell was cited for driving after revocation and having no proof of insurance.
