1 arrested for drugs
Albert Lea police arrested Fidel Punte-Damian, 29, for felony fifth-degree drug possession during a traffic stop at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Ramsey Street. Punte-Damian was also arrested at the scene for having an open container in a motor vehicle and driving after suspension.
Items stolen, damage reported
An engine turbo was reported taken off a truck at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday at 75903 230th St.
A red mountain bike was reported stolen at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday in the downtown area. The incident allegedly occurred within the last week.
A theft by fraud report involving someone losing $750 through iTunes cards over Facebook was made at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday at 143 W. Clark St.
A report of someone taking a black, 18-inch bicycle with red tags was made at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday at 533 Green Ave.
Front and rear fenders and a rear door were reported keyed at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Fountain Street and West Avenue. Damage was estimated at $200.
Identity theft was reported at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at 1109 Lincoln Ave.
A black bicycle was reported taken from a residence at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday at 1017 Plainview Lane.
A report of someone taking a license plate off a 2016 Honda CRV was filed at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday at 2510 Bridge Ave.
A back window on a vehicle was reported broken at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at 721 S. Broadway Ave. Damage was estimated at $200.
Child pornography reported
Child pornography was reported at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday in Albert Lea.
