New health care providers welcomed to Albert Lea

Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin recently welcomed additional physicians and nurse practitioners to their care teams on both campuses, according to a press release.
In Albert Lea, Mary Ellis, certified nurse practitioner in Urgent Care/Same Day Clinic and Express Care in Hy-Vee, started seeing patients in late July. She received her medical degree at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and completed her nurse practitioner residency at Mayo Clinic School of Health Science in Rochester. Ellis is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. If you have a non-emergent medical condition requiring same day medical attention and cannot get an appointment with your primary care provider, you can schedule an appointment in the Urgent Care/Same Day Clinic in Albert Lea by calling 507-373-2384. The Albert Lea Urgent Care/Same Day Clinic is open 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day.
In Albert Lea and Austin, Marla Halliday, certified nurse practitioner in Urgent Care/Same Day Clinic and at Express Care in Hy-Vee, started seeing patients in mid-August. Halliday received her family nurse practitioner degree at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. If you have a non-emergent medical condition requiring same day medical attention and cannot get an appointment with your primary care provider, you can walk-in to the Austin Urgent Care and Express Care at Hy-Vee for care from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Also joining Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin in August is Aliraza Dinani, M.D., in the Anesthesiology Department; and Vishal Shah, M.D., in the Hospitalist Department. Dinani received his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Danini is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Shah received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his residency in internal medicine at New York University in New York.
