Doug D. Lau, 63, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys campus  in Rochester.

He was born Jan. 15, 1955, in Texas to Arvid “Bud” and Marjorie Lau. Doug grew up and attended school in Austin. He later moved and worked the rest of his years in Albert Lea. He worked at Wilson & Co./Farmstead, many years as a machinist at Progress Casting, and then held a position at Mrs. Gerry’s.

He is survived by his father, Bud Lau, of Austin; son, Jeremy Lau, of Dodge Center; grandson, Ethan; granddaughter, Grace; brother and sister-in-law Tim and Amy Lau of Austin; nephew, Aaron Douglas Lau; niece, Emilee Lau; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He is truly missed by a host of close friends and “buddies!”

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
