Northbound motorists on Interstate 35 near Highway 65 (milepost 7) will encounter a right lane closure beginning Monday as crews repair concrete near Albert Lea, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists will be restricted to the left lane through the construction zone in the northbound lanes.

Southbound lanes are not restricted. Crews are repairing portions of the concrete road, which takes time to prepare, pour and allow time to cure or gain sufficient strength. Weather permitting, work is expected to be completed by Friday.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
