Preparation for 2019 I-90 paving project complete

Crossover lane paving on Interstate 90 between Highway 13 in Albert Lea and Freeborn County Road 46 near Petran has been completed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The work by Ulland Brothers Inc. was in preparation for a 12-mile, $17 million concrete paving project next year on I-90. Beginning in spring 2019, crews will re-pave westbound I-90 with concrete between Highway 13 in Albert Lea and Freeborn County Road 46 near Petran. Workers will also re-deck the westbound bridge over Freeborn County Road 46. Construction is expected to being in May 2019 and be completed in summer 2019.
