An important thing I found being an elected official is that you need a mayor who is present and committed. Workshops and meetings were an important part of sharing information and gathering information. It hurt our decision-making process when all councilors weren’t present to represent their thoughts and wards. Vern was present, engaged and leading.

Vern Rasmussen is that type of person. Vern was always there when we needed him. He always looks at all the facts and both sides of an issue before making sensible decisions that are in the best interest of the city long-term. He encouraged us to do what’s best for our wards and the city as a whole.

Vern Rasmussen is a mayor who makes decisions based on facts and common sense. Vern has done and will do his best for our tax dollars. Vern was fair, listened and always was respectful.
