Unspent bullet found at high school
An unspent bullet was found by an Albert Lea High School student Friday. The student gave the unspent bullet to an Albert Lea police officer, who confirmed it was not a threat to student or staff safety.
Thefts reported
Albert Lea police cited Sam Irvin Thompson for misdemeanor theft after a report of a male stealing a couple of shirts was filed at 9:27 a.m. Friday at Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave. Police later arrested Suzann Lee Halla in connection with the theft and for drugs possession.
A report of a male possibly stealing an HP laptop valued at $899 and snowpants valued at $18.68 was filed at 2:14 a.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. The male was described as wearing a black sweatshirt and black beanie hat. The vehicle the suspect was described as leaving in was found north of 1123 Frank Hall Drive. A replica Smith & Wesson BB gun was removed from the vehicle.
An estimated $600 to $700 was reported stolen out of a truck while parked at a house on Bridge Avenue at 11:49 a.m. Sunday at 1602 Garfield Ave.
A TV was reported stolen at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. The theft allegedly occurred Oct. 28.
A house was reported broken into and items missing at 10:26 a.m. Friday at 20643 715th Ave.
Someone reported being out of $3,000 from a cashed check at 11:37 a.m. Friday at 11859 800th Ave. in the Glenville area. The check was cashed July 14.
A 26-inch gray and silver women’s Trek bicycle was reported stolen from a front patio at 2:14 p.m. Friday at 603 Fountain St. A lock was cut.
A back door was reported damaged at 10:43 p.m. Saturday at 1023 Abbott St. The incident allegedly occurred while someone tried to enter the house. No entry was made. Damage was estimated at $100.

Someone reportedly told a female to go back to Mexico at 4:46 p.m. Sunday at 906 W. Front St.
Child abuse/neglect reported
A DHS report of a child being locked in a room at home was filed at 8:55 a.m. Friday in Albert Lea.
2 arrested on warrants
Police arrested Daniel Edward Shaw on a local warrant and for fifth-degree drug possession at 10:19 p.m. Friday at 411 Commercial St.
Police arrested Adam Michael Pederson on warrants from Pipestone and Yellow Medicine counties after disorderly conduct was reported at 11:06 a.m. Sunday at 206 W. College St.
