The librarians at elementary schools in Albert Lea will have a summer book-lending program at each of the elementary buildings to promote summer reading.

The book lending will take place the last week of school for parents and students at each elementary building. Students, with their parent or guardian, may check out books from the elementary library media centers to read at home during the summer.

The books can be returned anytime during the summer or in the fall when the students return to school.

Information explaining the program in more depth will be sent home with each student.
