Veterans Christmas party planned

The 21st annual veterans Christmas party will be Saturday at the American Legion in St. Ansgar, Iowa. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for the free event. According to a press release, there will be Christmas goodies, rolls and coffee. Veterans, spouses and the public are welcome to attend.
Char Polka Band will play Christmas music, polkas, waltzes and patriotic music. Requests are welcome. Lunch will be served by Paradise Pizza. Master of Ceremonies will be Iraq veteran Ken Borchardt.
Introductions and share a story will begin at 10 a.m.
The veterans Christmas party is a social get-together for veterans, spouses and military enthusiasts from southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, the release stated.
The event is sponsored by Phil Fleischer, not by any veterans organization.
The event is alcohol- and smoke-free.
