Winona scored one goal in the second period, but Albert Lea was already well out in front and showed no signs of slowing down.

The Tigers poured it on in the third period, getting a second goal from Wentzel, as well as goals from junior Jacob Prihoda and sophomores Blake Ulve and Markus Dempewolf.

In the net for Albert Lea was junior Bradley Horecka, who allowed one goal on 14 shots on goal.

The Tigers improve to 1-2 on the season and will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Austin to take on the Packers.
