1 arrested for shoplifting, meth possession

Albert Lea police arrested Gerald Leeroy Shaffer, 38, for fifth-degree meth possession and shoplifting after a theft in progress was reported at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave. Shaffer was trespassed.

 

Fuel oil spill reported

A report of an elderly man spilling 150 gallons of fuel oil in a basement was filed at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday at 86846 245th St. in the Oakland area. The incident allegedly occurred Tuesday. Following the incident, the man went with his sister for a few days.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Amy Kay Reyes, 40, on a Mower County warrant at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday at 810 Happy Trails Lane.

 

Child abuse/neglect reported

A Department of Human Services child abuse/neglect report was filed at 10:09 a.m. Wednesday in Freeborn County.

 

Thefts reported

Internet fraud regarding a fraudulent letter from at least one person claiming to be from the United Way of Freeborn County was filed at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at 810 Troy Road.

Patio furniture was reported stolen at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at 1861 W. Ninth St.

 

Tobacco violation reported

A tobacco violation was reported at 10:59 a.m. Wednesday at 2000 Tiger Lane.
