Thefts reported
Albert Lea police arrested Cody Jay Eggum, 32, after a report he cashed a $1,125 check Tuesday night was made at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. The check was reported stolen from Korner Mart.
A report of someone at a service desk attempting to cash a second check was filed at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday at the same address. The name of the suspect was blacked out on police records.
Police cited Sandra Salinas, 35, for misdemeanor theft after a theft report was filed at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday at Casey’s General Store, 2222 E. Main St.
The window of a silver Dodge Journey was reported as looking like it had been shot with a BB gun at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Fountain Street and North Third Avenue.
A report of an employee allegedly stealing more than $600 was reported at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday at SuperAmerica, 23087 Minnesota Highway 13.
Multiple charges on a credit card belonging to someone with Alzheimer’s disease were reported at 12:53 p.m. Wednesday at 431 W. Main St. in Glenville. A suspect was identified.
A $37.07 gas drive-off was reported at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at ExpressWay Alden, 105 North Star Road. A mid-sized Jeep Liberty was described as the suspect vehicle.
1 arrested on warrant
Albert Lea police arrested Lee Richard Alfson, 44, on a Department of Corrections warrant after a warrant was reported at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday at 1613 Southview Lane.
1 taken into custody for contempt of court
Thomas Robert Rosenthal, 52, was reported taken into custody in a courtroom for contempt of court after a court warrant was reported at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Freeborn County Government Center, 411 S. Broadway Ave.
Drug possession reported
An Albert Lea officer allegedly picked up a small baggie of heroin found in a patient’s luggage after drug violations were reported at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, 404 Fountain St.
