A-1 Auto Transport is a car shipping and moving company with offices in Minnesota that would like to extend its scholarship program to eligible students in Albert Lea and surrounding areas, according to a press release. According to the release, all scholarships consist of $250, $500 or $1,000 per year.

To be considered as eligible, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. They must have current enrollment at an accredited college or institute. To enter after eligibility is determined, the student must write an essay about the auto transport industry in 1,000 or more words. The deadline for essays is March 10, and every March 10 in following years.

Students must submit their essays to scholarships@a1autotransport.com along with their name, school name, mailing address, email address and phone number.

After the deadline for essay submission, A-1 Auto Transport’s scholarship committee will review each essay carefully. They will check for plagiarism and originality. Essays must not be found published anywhere else online. At the end of March, winning essays will be announced on the A-1 website. All winners are also notified by email. Once the scholarship money is awarded, it is sent directly to the student’s school’s financial office.
