Mary Johnsrud-Anderson, 1929-2019

Mary Cecelia Johnsrud-Anderson died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, in Minnetonka.
She was born June 12, 1929, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Thomas and Mary McCune. Mary moved to Albert Lea as a teenager and was a graduate of Albert Lea High School.
She married Carl R. Johnsrud in 1947. They had four children and lived in Albert Lea, Hibbing and Wausau, Wisconsin, before returning to Albert Lea in 1974.
Mary enjoyed playing bridge, duplicate bridge, curling and golf. She took classes in judo, yoga, line dancing and water sports.
She married James Anderson of Mountain Iron in 2003. She lived on the Iron Range until July 2018. Most recently she lived in Minnetonka at a memory care facility.
She is survived by her children: son, Steve, of Chicago, and daughters Jane (Richard) Fleming of Maple Grove and Karla (Jim) Rosenberg of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Jack and Katie Rosenberg of Wausau and Anthony Alexander of Mountain View, California; two great-grandchildren, Caitlinn and Austin Rosenberg; and one great-great-granddaughter, Amira.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Carl Johnsrud, in 1990; her son, Gregory Johnsrud, in 1971; and her parents Thomas and Mary McCune.
