City plow hits parked vehicle

A city plow reportedly struck a vehicle at 6:40 a.m. Monday at 421 Columbus Ave. No injuries were reported. An Albert Lea city plow was driving north on the 400 block of Columbus plowing snow when it struck a Dodge Durango legally parked and unattended with its plow wing in a tight space, according to police.

 

Burglary, theft reported

A male in camo was described as running up a driveway, possibly breaking in, at 7:48 a.m. Monday at 104 W. 11th St. It reportedly appeared that someone made entry to a house, described as “completely filled with garbage and not safely accessible.”

A theft report involving a tenant was filed at 11:27 p.m. Monday at 133 W. William St.

 

Smoke causes evacuation

Smoke by an oven was reported at 8:01 a.m. Monday at The Children’s Center, 605 James Ave. Children were reported evacuated.
