Beverly Wingert, 1925-2019

Beverly Wingert, 93, of Fountain died Monday, March 4, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Preston United Methodist Church. The Rev. Deanna Woodward will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring at Preston Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Preston and will continue an hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Beverly Louise Eberhardt was born May 17, 1925, the daughter of Alfred and Nettie (Lair) Eberhardt in Albert Lea. Beverly graduated from Albert Lea High School and Wells Teacher Training School. She taught country school for two years.
On July 14, 1946, she married Fidelis Wingert at Pickerel Lake Methodist Church in rural Albert Lea. She was a longtime member of Fountain United Methodist Church, in which she was very active.
Beverly is survived by children Nancy of New Albin, Jerry (Shirley) of Preston, Bruce of Fountain, Bill (Janeen) of Preston and Louise (Joe) Marquardt of Spring Valley, 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fidelis “F.J.,” on Oct. 1, 2013; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, one brother, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, her parents and father and mother-in-law.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Beverly’s close friend and caregiver Margaret Bartsch and St. Croix Hospice for their heartfelt care of Beverly.
Memorials are preferred to Preston United Methodist Cemetery and Fountain Methodist Church.
