Racial slurs written on signs

Racial slurs were reported written on signs with window chalk at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Garden and Ridge roads.

 

Vandalism, thefts reported

A vehicle was reported vandalized and items stolen at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday at 23087 Minnesota Highway 13, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A bag of tools was reported stolen out of a car at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday at 518 W. College St.

Tools were reported taken at 1:53 p.m. Wednesday from a work site at 1719-1721 Keystone Drive.

A credit card was reported stolen at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday. The card had reportedly been used at Bomgaars, O’Reilly’s and McDonald’s in Albert Lea and Runnings in Austin.

A locker box containing jewelry, a purse and books was reported missing at 5:56 a.m. Thursday at 608 S. Washington Ave.

 

2 arrested on warrants

Latesha Janae Jackson, 26, was arrested on a warrant at 11:12 p.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway.

Dawn Lauren Bierman, 26, reportedly turned herself in on a local warrant at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway.

 

1 cited for marijuana

Police cited Debra Kimberly Normand, 22, for a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle at 11:46 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Sheridan Street.
