Bullet shot through window of Hollandale home

A bullet was reported shot through the front window of a residence at 12:26 p.m. Saturday at 29128 800th Ave. in Hollandale.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Todd Earl said the Sheriff’s Office has been unable to determine where the shot came from and have not yet identified a suspect. A bullet was recovered in the house.

2 arrested for drunk driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Holly Marie Nelson, 36, for driving while intoxicated and driving after cancellation at 12:43 a.m. Friday at 103 E. Front St. in Hayward.

Police arrested Margarito Douglas Deboer, 23, for driving while intoxicated at 1:33 a.m. Sunday at 906 W. Front St.

 

Break-ins reported

An attempted break-in of a trailer was reported at 11:01 a.m. Friday at 306 N. Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove.

A house was reported broken into at 1:49 p.m. Friday at 330 E. Clark St. Items were missing.

An apartment was reported broken into at 7:57 a.m. Sunday at 114 E. Fourth St.

 

1 arrested on assault

Police arrested Shawn Eric Campagna after a reported assault at 2:19 p.m. Saturday at 1309 Plainview Lane.

 

Man arrested on multiple violations

Deputies arrested Richard Allen Morgan, 27, for driving after revocation, fleeing on foot and failure to signal after a traffic stop at 10:29 p.m. Sunday at 414 Noland Ave. in Hayward.

 

2 cited for tobacco violations

A juvenile was cited for possession of an electronic smoking device at 11:20 a.m. Friday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

A juvenile was cited for a tobacco violation at 1:49 p.m. Friday at Albert Lea High School.

 

3 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Donald Harold Stigney on a local warrant at 9:01 p.m. Friday at 1009 St. John Ave.

Police arrested William Michael Oleson Jr. on a local warrant at 11:13 p.m. Friday at 702 E. 17th St.

Police arrested Kristin Marie Anderson on a local warrant at 12:57 a.m. Saturday at 2019 E. Main St.

 

2 arrested on controlled substance charges

Police arrested Jamie Kujak and Timothy Andrew Bakke on controlled substances charges at 8:11 p.m. Saturday at 134 W. William St. Kujak was arrested on two felony fifth-degree controlled substance violations and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and Bakke was arrested on gross misdemeanor fifth-degree possession.

 

Dish Network scam reported

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 5:50 p.m. Friday of someone who had received a phone call scam from someone impersonating a representative from Dish Network.
