Construction is well underway with the Hammer Field upgrade.
The grandstand/concession building includes an appropriate number of restrooms for the capacity of the grandstand. The new grandstand provides 1,735 seats and 16 wheelchair spaces. The existing visitor’s bleachers will hold approximately 900 seats and 10 wheelchair spaces.
A new video display scoreboard will be installed at the football field as well as new stadium lights. The grandstand/press box, plaza, parking lot and multi-use synthetic turf football field are slated to be completed by September. This timeline also includes associated features such as ticket booths, seat walls and donor wall. The donor wall will be located at the entrance of the main plaza.
Two grass soccer fields, two baseball fields, two softball fields, two discus throwing fields and an associated concessions building will be completed by mid-October. However, these grass fields will not be playable until fall 2020, most likely.
The two-story field house is targeted to be completed by the end of this fall 2019. The field house will be a two-story building with approximately 20,000 square feet. Features include six locker rooms, training room, fitness center, classroom, conference room and second-floor lobby with views of the multi-use football field.
Construction updates will be posted weekly on the district’s website and Facebook page.
