The Albert Lea Street Department will begin chip sealing Thursday. 

According to a press release, the affected areas include the industrial and commercial areas near Northbridge Mall and the airport, and West Ninth Street on the southwest side of Albert Lea and the east end of Troy Road.

The work is expected to take three to four weeks to complete, depending on weather.

During the process, “no parking” signs will be put up. The signs will be up for multiple days as the streets have to be swept before and after the process.
