An open letter to all the people who voted to put Vern Rasmussen back in the mayor’s office for another four-year term. How do you like what’s happening to our fair city?

Not only have we lost most of the hospital services, but also four large businesses without any action from the mayor’s office to try and keep them here or bring any new commerce into the city.

Even when it comes to smaller things like safety on our streets where there are many kids living, he has not taken any effort to put up signs for children playing! Speeding on our streets is prevalent on all the streets in the city, but we could spend city money on historic downtown signs. Also, we need signs informing the riders of bikes, roller skates and skateboards that it is illegal to be riding on the city sidewalks. We also have unlicensed golf carts with children not wearing seat belts in them, some driven by unlicensed drivers.

When is this city as I remember it from years past going to elect a leader to really lead the city who has no employment problem because they are employed by the Mayo system. The very people who have let this city down over the last few years, how do you like your leadership now?
