Letter: What do the citizens of Minnesota get for their tax dollar?

Let me count the ways: Minnesota is acknowledged as the No. 2 state in the U.S. in quality of life, second only to Massachusetts. Colorado ranks fifth, Wisconsin sixth and Iowa eighth. Minnesota is also second ranked in the percentage of adults with at least a high school diploma (thank you, teachers). Additionally, it is third highest in home ownership and fourth in citizens with adequate insurance. We are also high in health, a stable economy, affordability and personal safety.
I’m thinking we’re getting a pretty good bang for the buck. All of this makes me wonder why those who whine the most about high taxes are the same folks who can most easily afford them. Go figure.
