Letter: Adults setting bad example for youth

Published 7:47 pm Friday, July 12, 2019

I walked around the north side of Fountain Lake early Friday morning, July 5.

The area in front of the dam, in the water, was littered with pop and beer cans floating toward the dam. Many of those that went over the dam were hung-up trying to get downstream.

In walking by the beach, where the fireworks were shot off the night before, the beach area would qualify as an extension of a dump, the ground was covered in garbage.

The area by the boat landing near the old Brookside School also qualified as an extension of a dump.

To the adults setting a bad example for the youth, I ask, “Why?”

I feel comfortable in referring to the littering adult as the south end of a mule headed north.
