Thefts reported
A flatbed trailer and a toolbox were reported stolen at 4:08 p.m. Monday at 1118 S. Broadway.
A theft was reported at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday at 1550 Blake Ave.
A dealer license plate was reported stolen at 3:26 p.m. Monday at 1725 E. Main St. The plate was reportedly on a car involved in a gas drive off in New Market.
A theft by check was reported at 6:06 a.m. Monday at 906 W. Front St.
A ring valued at $3,000 was reported stolen at 9:38 a.m. Sunday from 204 E. Front St.
Possible scam reported
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible scam at 3:52 p.m. Monday at 78781 220th St., Albert Lea. The homeowner stated a male came onto their property stating he had some leftover tar and asked if they would like some at the end of their driveway for free. After the man put the asphalt down, he claimed the homeowner owed him $3,000 and refused to leave.
5 arrested on warrants
Nicole Leigh Brooks turned herself in on a local warrant at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday at 411 S. Broadway.
Veronica Tatiana Ortiz, 30, turned herself in on a local warrant at 4:07 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway.
Robert Charles Anderson, 41, turned himself in on a local warrant at 4:53 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway.
A juvenile was arrested on local warrants at 1:07 p.m. Monday at 717 Minnesota Ave.
Kiersten Jodell Esplan, 45, turned herself in on a local warrant at 4:33 a.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway.
Cars broken into
Two vehicles were reported rummaged through at 8:56 a.m. Monday at 1002 E. Hawthorne St.
A car was reported broken into at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday at 607 Minnesota Ave. Nothing was taken.
A car was reported ransacked at 1313 Margaretha Ave.
1 cited after report of fight
A juvenile was cited for underage drinking after police responded to a report of a fight at 7:40 p.m. Monday at 222 St. Mary Ave.
Garbage can on fire
A garbage can was reported on fire at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday at 222 S. St. Mary Ave.
