Lemonade stand benefits Humane Society

- Mitikee Gushwa, 9; Jack Bartlett, 10; Owen Bartlett, 12; Fikadie Gushwa, 11; and Braydon Carlson, 11, spent the afternoon of July 29 at Geneva Park selling lemonade to benefit the Humane Society of Freeborn County. Once residents realized why the children were selling lemonade, they reportedly were more generous with their donations. By the end of the day, the children raised more than $127 for the organization. The children are pictured with Bartlett’s dog, Buster. - Provided
