Local insurer UCare is offering local Freeborn residents the opportunity to earn their GED credential for free.
MinnesotaCare (MnCare) families and children and Prepaid Medical Assistance (PMAP) UCare members can earn their GED for no fee with GEDWorks through funding provided by UCare, according to a press release.
This trial program through UCare and GEDWorks is providing eligible UCare members with everything they need to prepare for and earn their GED credential, the release stated. This includes a personal coach, practice tests, official test vouchers and bilingual study resources — all for free.
Eligible residents include Freeborn County residents with health coverage through UCare’s MinnesotaCare or families and children (medical assistance) programs.
