Ella Carlson, 88, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield.

Friends may greet the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Brick Meger Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.

Ella was born to parents Tom and Zela (Burtis) Dale in Armstrong, Iowa.

Ella’s dad moved the family up to Blooming Prairie to farm. Ella graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1950.

She married Herb Enzenauer and they had three children. The two later divorced. She worked various jobs in the Albert Lea area, spending most of her time at the turkey plant.

She married Willie Carlson and they made their home in Albert Lea.

Ella enjoyed bingo, puzzles, reading romantic novels and playing cards.

She is survived by daughter, Susan Enzenauer; granddaughter, Colbe (Jeremy Bauernfeind) Enzenauer; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Ron) Kjos; and sister-in-law, Shelley Dale.

Ella was preceded in death by husband, Willie; sons Jeff and David Enzenauer; sister, Betty Thomasen; and brothers Merritt, Kenny, Donnie, James and Dennis.

Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
