A 15-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon on Bridge Avenue at the intersection with Katherine Street.

Jamie Gonzales, 15, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. The extent of his injuries was unknown as of press time.

Police stated Gonzales was traveling southbound on the south sidewalk on Bridge Avenue and was crossing Katherine Street when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Brandon Michael Gladue, 36, that was turning north on Bridge Avenue from Katherine Street.

The crash took place at 3:24 p.m.

Gladue was not injured.
