Freeborn County Auditor Treasurer Dennis Distad reminds homeowners that the first half of real estate taxes are due Friday. Penalties will be added starting Saturday. People can mail their tax statements to the auditor-treasurer or drop them off at the 24-hour drop box in the Law Enforcement Center lobby, off the College Street parking lot.
