Graveside services for Terry L. VanderWoude of Albert Lea will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery in Albert Lea. The Rev. Kurt Farrell will officiate.

Terry passed Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. She was 63.

She was born March 22, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Dora (Patterson) VanderWoude.

She and her life partner, Timothy L. Abrego, lived in Albert Lea and were together until he passed in 2008. Terry worked as a cook at Trail’s Travel Center for many years prior to her battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra VanderWoude; stepchildren Mary Jane Abrego Palacios, Timothy Abrego Jr., Dee Ann (Carlos) Palacios, Maelynn Drenth and Jefferey Lowen; grandchildren Isaiah, DaJuan, Makenzie, Ashton, Devin, Jasmine, Chelsea, James, Timothy III, Fernando, Tianna, Davontae, Destiny and Deavion; great-grandchildren Luis, Lily, Moses, Aliza and Daeshae; siblings Marcia Ferro, Jerry Vandenbrink and Sharon (Dave) Park and Scott (Billie) Vanderwoude; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Timothy L. Abrego; her father, Frank VanderWoude; her mother, Dora VanderWoude; her stepmother, Agnes VanderWoude; brothers Dennis and Franklin; and grandson, Dakota Talamantes.
