Audrey Ruth Johnson, 88, of Albert Lea, formerly Kiester, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at Oak Park Place in Albert Lea. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home of Wells. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Online condolences may be left at www.brussheitner.com.

Audrey was born at home Jan. 31, 1931, in Kiester. She lived in the area most of her life, helping many families with babysitting and housework. Audrey was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Nesje; stepfather, Selmer Nesje; and brother-in-law, Neal Clark.

Audrey is survived by her sisters Jeanette Hendrickson of Gilbert, Arizona, Elaine Warner of Albert Lea and Norma Clark of Sun City, Arizona; nieces and nephews Jackie Rubel Hendrickson, Deborah Pineda (Aron), Rich Hendrickson, Khris Fjelbroten (Rob), Steven Warner (Justin) and Stacie Warner; and several great-nieces and nephews.
