As the fall season approaches with school in full swing, our summer activities have about ended. And one might think, “Now what is there to do?” Well, I’m so glad to live in Albert Lea and its surrounding area, because Albert Lea still has numerous activities for the upcoming seasons. Civic Music is one of the fine entertainment venues that the Albert Lea area proudly hosts.

The Civic Music Association is now advertising their upcoming concert series. It offers a wide variety of world-renowned musical artists and at an unbelievably low price.  As an individual, I can purchase a season ticket for only $45. This price lets me attend five concerts in Albert Lea — that’s only $9 for each! I can also travel to Austin or Clear Lake and enjoy an additional eight more concerts. I have enjoyed traveling to their concerts in the past — a nice drive and I’m not having to fight any Metro traffic. Wow. These extra concerts make my ticket price even a better value. My ticket price drops to less than $3.50 if I choose to attend them all — and Civic Music also offers student and family pricing.

It’s great to see that Civic Music is still here and it’s their 74th season. Thanks to all the fine folks that support our local activities and make the Albert Lea area a great place to live.
