Aaron Farris obviously really likes Congressman Hagedorn. He picks and chooses when to jump all over the people who disagree with Hagedorn.

He started off by criticizing a couple new congressmen regarding their lack of town hall meetings. For the record, ex-Congressman Eric Paulson didn’t have any in almost six years before having one before he was voted out of office. Jason Lewis who lives near me in the 4th District but represents the 2nd District only had one in-person town hall just before he also was voted out of office. Newly elected Stauber to the north in the 8th District hasn’t had any yet. Farris, why are you so hung up on picking on Democrats when other than Hagedorn, your own party doesn’t do town halls for all to participate in? 

The trouble with town halls is that Republicans cannot handle dealing with the truth.  They will mislead or flat out say something that isn’t true.  Yes people get upset when they are misled or lied to. 

If you believe that the people are the ultimate power of our democracy and every voter’s vote counts, then you should support the Election Integrity Act as amended that is not supported by Hagedorn.  This is designed to protect the integrity of our elections for every voter.

Hagedorn strongly supports Medicare Advantage Plans. Is he aware when choosing an Advantage Plan you waive your Medicare benefits. You’re authorizing the insurance company to manage your benefits. Not Medicare. A Medigap plan is the only “Medicare” supplementary plan. If I were an outstate Minnesotan, I would ask why he is choosing an Advantage plan over a more secure supplementary plan. Insurance agents like them as they make more money.

There are many risks with an Advantage plan. You are put in networks, you are subject to underwriting to get back on a Medicare plan. If you have a preexisting condition, it is very likely you will not be accepted to other plans. Advantage plan benefits are subject to change whenever they choose. You have no protections with your contract. Outstate Minnesotans should ask Hagedorn why he supports Advantage plans.    

Hagedorn has said that anyone committing suicide won’t go to heaven. This is an extremely discerning statement for a Congressperson to make.  I’m appalled at this statement and it makes no sense. This is an issue where only God decides what will happen to your soul once you pass on. Why does Hagedorn think he is the spokesperson for God?    

Yes, Hagedorn likes to show up and get in on all the photo ops. That doesn’t make you a good Congressman. It does make you a good politician to fool the people.
